Brianna Burgo

Brianna Burgo is an illustrator born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Brianna has a lifetime love for storytelling and visual art. What captivates her about stories is the timeless, immersive magic that good storytelling contains. As an illustrator, Brianna uses her art to express these stories through narrative images or by developing and designing unique and captivating characters. Her favorite genres are cultural mythology, science fiction and fantasy. She particularly enjoys digital illustration and elements of graphic design.

Brianna constantly challenges herself to pursue innovative ideas and new techniques while adding these imaginative experiences to her personal practice as a professional illustrator. She uses a variety of mediums such as digital art, photography, and traditional mediums such as pencil and watercolor, to best convey her various ideas. Brianna is currently finishing her BFA in Illustration at the Kansas City Art institute (KCAI), and while attending KCAI, her work has been featured several times during end of semester shows. Brianna had the opportunity to design the large-scale promotional banners for two (2) KCAI end of the year events, the Spring 2023 End of Semester Show and KCAI’s 2023 Art Pop Annual Fundraiser. Brianna’s goals for the future are to find a career using her varied skill sets to tell fantastical stories to the next generation.
