As a young artist, she found love and inspiration from the natural world around her. Illustration became an outlet to show her appreciation and wonder of the world and the lessons that it can teach. Her experiences from camping, hiking, her childhood backyard, and especially her pet rabbit Smokey have fostered many of the stories and images she pursues. Her stories focus on not only nature but the importance of human connection and interaction with the viewer. Clarice cherishes her childhood experiences and seeks to share those experiences with others who are also curious and can find creativity in the everyday.
