Saffie Miles

Saffie Miles is an illustrator, designer, and digital fabricator from the midwest attending KCAI’s Illustration program. Saffie specializes in digital art, 3D modeling, and digital fabrication, along with the occasional mixed media/fiber piece. A large part of their artistic practice focuses on their art process, and new experimental ways to create their illustrations, and fun ways bring those works physical. They draw inspiration from unique animals, geometric shapes and color, and happy feelings. Saffie creates art in the hope that it will inspire others in the way that nature and emotions inspire them. Saffie has had their work published in the Dead Peasant literary and visual arts anthology, “Don’t Look”, summer of 2022. Saffie’s work is also set to be published on the cover of the Illustration Department’s comic book anthology, “Covers and Pages”.

In the future, they hope to illustrate children's books and teach while selling their art prints and other 3-Dimensional works on the side. When Saffie is not at school or working at the campus fabrication lab, they are at home spending time with their cat, Anise, and tending to their houseplant collection.
